It's not really an 'arcade revival' when they're only interested in old games.
You're better off trying to find arcades in coastal towns that still buy in new games - many do. Just be prepared to have to search for them through a maze of gambling machines.
They're decent enough games, I always hated having to put in another credit to play on even if you win by a mile.. also the courses were really repetitive.
Anyway, these games are quite old now and it would probably be better if Nintendo just focused on a new, Wii U-based MK.
Yuck. There's more than enough awesome Sega characters to fill out the lineup for this game, besides Xbox Avatar, Sackboy and Banjo Kazooie all have their own racers anyway.
Nice list, Kororinpa and Munchables are two I've been meaning to try.
I'll also add Disaster: Day of Crisis, Eledees, Wario Land Shake and Pandora's Tower as some lesser-known titles worth checking out.
Shame for all involved. I was actually quite interested to see how these Kinect TV things turn out.
You know Sesame Street and Nat Geo release later this year? I'll pick up at least one.. think it's a clever way to use the system!
Anyway, hopefully our Kinect shooter for Durango can survive these lay-offs.
I've heard it all now, "motion controls are for lazy people", and yet just a few posts up we have gamepadtards saying they want sit down, or possibly lie on their back, possibly with a machine breathing for them, possibly also while being fed through a tube, when they game.
And as for complexity, how can you seriously compare two analog sticks and a dozen buttons to the full range of motion the human body is capable of? Gamepads are more complex than the human b...
Love these guys - "the M word" seriously cracked me up!
There's no higher compliment this game could get than being compared to OutRun, hopefully it will live up to that billing but after the first Sonic Racing I'm confident it will.
All good signs. I doubt Kinect 2 is going to attract people who aren't interested now, same way Wii Motion Plus and Move didn't, but who knows.
It would be neat if the next Xbox is back compatible with current-gen Kinect games for increased accuracy.
How to make church boring.
I don't hate DLC because I got cash and I drop it.
Haters can't take it with they kiddie pool pockets.
It's nice to finally get some little bits of info about this thing - and purely a coincidence that it's happened since Moly-noob shuffled off, I'm sure.
I would have bought it but, who knows if it worked or what it was even supposed to do. Apparently it was close to completion when cancelled.
Maybe something with Viva Pinata could work?
Eh, really?
I've never played this (it looks awesome though) but it looks like a versus Rolling Thunder..
Has Nintendo actually cited it as an influence or are we just making stuff up here?
I think it's a brilliant system and has provided some of my favourite gaming experiences of this generation, most notably Child of Eden and Steel Battalion: Heavy Armour.
No, neither did Nintendo with the Wii, Vita isn't dead, PC isn't dead, Chris Benoit didn't kill his kid with the crippler crossface, Wii U won't be less powerful than the 360, All Stars Battle Royale isn't just a Smash Bros clone, Kinect and PS Move will still be around next gen.
In your experience perhaps, for competent videogame players who don't possess the motor skills of a two-year-old it worked great.
Love this review, even a few well-placed digs at the casuals who couldn't figure out how to play THE MIGHTY Steel Battalion: Heavy Armour.
It matters not whether you think Kinect games count, they're still new IPs.
Great year so far, very much looking forward to what's left including Wii U.
Awesome, indie 2D retro platform side scrolling metroidvania shooter with procedurally generated roguelike RPG elements Minecraft.
